Mobile techs come to your rig
All three Forney shops are mobile, so the tech brings tools to your driveway or campsite. That beats towing a rig in July heat. Ken Winn the Tool Man Mobile RV Repairs holds a 5.0 rating over 43 reviews and also handles roof and awning work. Advanced Call Mobile RV Repair has 71 reviews at 4.5 and does warranty and parts. Diamond T Mobile RV Repair and Trailer Repair offers emergency service, useful when the A/C dies on a weekend. Ask if the replacement unit is in stock before the visit, since parts delays are common in summer.
Warranty work and parts
Two of the three Forney mobile techs handle warranty claims, which matters if your rig is still covered. Get pre-approval from the warranty company before the tech arrives, and have your policy number ready. Parts are the other hold-up. Ken Winn and Advanced Call both carry parts, but a new A/C unit or control board may need ordering. Ask whether the tech stocks the part or has to source it. If your roof air conditioner is original and older, budget for a full unit rather than a recharge.
Before the tech arrives
Clear space around the rig so the tech can get to the roof or the outside unit. Note whether the A/C blows warm on fan only or not at all, and check the breaker at the pedestal. Those details save diagnostic time. If the problem started after a roof leak, say so, since water in the ceiling assembly can corrode connections. In spring and early summer, book a few days out; mobile techs fill up fast when the first hot week hits. A quick call beats waiting for a callback.
