Shops Worth Calling First
Rocky Ridge RV Texarkana carries the strongest reputation here at 4.9 across 80 reviews, and it does warranty work. Texarkana Truck and RV matches that 4.9 on a smaller sample of 28 and keeps parts on hand plus weekend hours, which matters when something quits on a Friday night before a trip. Gregg Orr Marine & RV Service Center handles roof and A/C repair, sells parts, works on chassis, and takes warranty jobs, so it covers a lot of ground under one roof. Langdon Polaris RV & Trailer and Wesco RV & Bus Service round out the list, and Wesco does generators in addition to A/C. Call before you haul anything in. Ask whether the part is on the shelf or on order, and get a rough timeline. A shop that tells you straight is worth the extra miles.
Roof and A/C Trouble
Two of the five local shops list A/C repair and one lists roof work, which tells you where the demand sits. Roof leaks are the slow killer. A stained ceiling today is soft framing and delaminated paneling next season, so get it looked at before the next rain. Sealant around vents and seams dries out and cracks, and a cheap tube of lap sealant beats a rebuild every time. On the A/C side, a unit that runs but blows warm is often low on refrigerant or fighting a dirty coil. Both are quick diagnostics. If the compressor is gone, ask about lead time on a replacement before you commit, because summer stock gets thin.
Mobile Techs and Timing
None of the five shops in town are listed as mobile-only, so plan on towing or driving your rig to the bay unless a nearby shop offers a road call. Ask directly. Some service centers send a tech out for simple jobs and skip the tow. Spring and early summer book up fast around here, so call a week or two ahead if you can and take the early appointment when it is offered. If your rig is under warranty, get pre-approval from the manufacturer before work starts. Two local shops do warranty work, but the paperwork still has to line up or you eat the bill.
