About Apogee Fab
Apogee Fab is a custom camper van shop in Seattle. The owner, Derek, builds vans from scratch and also takes on repair work, including leaks and fridge swaps on Sprinters. One reviewer brought in a 2020 Sprinter with two leaks and had both fixed in a day. Reviews keep coming back to the same things: communication, care, and quality. People describe Derek as communicative and reliable, and say he stays available for questions long after a build wraps. A Vanagon Westy owner with a Ford conversion trusts him with the van, and another reviewer noted the crew will take on jobs outside their usual scope. One review tells the fridge story well. A 3-way fridge quit on propane and drained too much on 12 volts, so the math and measurements pointed to a different setup, now running off solar. The shop is a motor vehicle dealer as well as an RV repair service. Hours are posted, so check before you drive over.

What renters mention
“In May 2021 I saw one of Apogee’s van builds in the wild and immediately knew I wanted to know more. After speaking at some length with owner Derek Baylor I decided to go with a full custom build for my wife and I to travel with.” – Mark F., 2 years ago, on Google
“We have a 2020 MB Sprinter Van that has been experiencing a leak on the rear passenger side and also a small leak around the sliding passenger door. A friend recommended Apogee Fab so we gave them a call.” – Chris M., 9 months ago, on Google
“This is the place to go for the best quality work and informed advice. For instance, doing the math and the measurements to replace a 3-way refrigerator that stopped working on propane but sucked up too much power running on 12 volts.” – Bob A., a year ago, on Google
