About Appalachian Foothills RV Service and RV Park
This is a repair shop and campground in one, right off exit 30 in Winfield. You can pull in the night before your appointment and stay on site, which several reviewers did. Gravel sites are the norm, with paved ones also available. Sites came with water, sewer and 50 amp hookups. On the service side, reviews talk up the staff more than anything. One owner had a slide rail replaced and said the crew called ahead to confirm the right parts. Another had a Hydro-Hot looked at along with jacks. A third got winterized the same day they called from out of state. The shop handles AC work, batteries, brakes, electrical, exhaust, body and trim, and oil changes. Reviews are not all glowing. One camper felt the nightly rate was high even with a service discount, and said the grounds need better upkeep. Others mention a bathhouse issue after a storm. Overall the crew gets credit for being friendly and fair on price.
