About Big 8 Tire
Big 8 Tire is a tire shop in Ely that also stocks a large inventory of parts for travel trailers and RVs, including hard to find sizes. The shop calls itself Ely's longest established tire store, and it backs most tire purchases with road hazard warranties. Reviewers keep coming back to the same thing: getting helped when things looked closed. One driver with a flat outside town says the family patched it late in the day. A motorcyclist on a long trip got a tire swapped in about 20 minutes. Odd sizes come up a lot in what people write, and so does tire selection. Not every review is glowing. One person said a tech was late for an appointment and put off a balance check. Beyond tires, the service list covers brakes, batteries, electrical, exhaust, engine diagnostics and AC, and the shop handles weekends and emergency road service. It has hours and is not open around the clock.
