About On the Spot RV & Trailer
On the Spot RV & Trailer is an RV repair shop on the Elk Grove side of the Sacramento area. It also handles trailer repair and carries some RV supplies. Reviews split, so read a few before you load up. The shop has hours and isn't open around the clock. Most of the 53 Google reviews land at 4.4 stars, and the friendly staff comes up more than anything else. One owner tells of a cross-country trip two days out when the crew showed up same day at the resort with the right part and swapped a transfer switch. Another says a loose wire on an A/C unit got tracked down and fixed on the spot instead of sold as a whole new unit. Reviewers also call the work honest and note they didn't push unneeded repairs. Not everyone got that. One reviewer waited four months on a simple fix and wasn't happy with how it came back. Another couldn't get a call returned about a fridge, even after visiting in person. Warranty work comes up in a couple of reviews.

What renters mention
“On The Spot RV is the best and most honest, trustworthy and professional RV repair facility I know of. I have been RV-ing for over 23 years and haven’t had any better service.” – Don S., 5 years ago, on Google
“What can I say outstanding. We were leaving on a major cross country trip in 2 days and they came out same day with the right part and fix it at the resort we were at. It involved electrical wiring and replacing a transfer switch.” – Ben R., 3 years ago, on Google
“Stopped here for a quick fix and these guys were amazing. Friendly, super helpful, and honest. They helped me save money by fixing my RV right (rather than most shops that would default to the expensive option and dig for money).” – Justin B., 8 years ago, on Google
