About Orange County Gear, Clutch, Transmission Services
This is a working gear shop, not a dealer service bay. Since 1950 the crew on the Anaheim side has rebuilt transmissions, differentials, transfer cases, clutches and flywheels for trucks, RVs and driveshafts. Their listing also puts them under RV repair, so a rig with a drivetrain problem fits right in. Reviewers tend to talk about the people first. Several call the staff helpful and knowledgeable, and one mentions getting a Ford Econoline van fixed even though the shop handles a lot of fleet work. Another had an Eaton Fuller transmission rebuilt and a clutch replaced and said they'd bring everything back here. Someone else just liked that turnaround was fast. Everyday service covers brakes, steering and suspension, electrical, engine diagnostics and oil changes, plus air conditioning and air bags. It's a 4.6 rating across 10 Google reviews. Hours are posted and they aren't open around the clock. If you're mid-trip with a transmission howling, call before you roll in.
