About Discount General RV & Premier Portable Buildings
Discount General RV sits in Dothan and does a few things under one roof: RV sales and repair, storage, and portable buildings like sheds, carports and cabins. It's a mom and pop operation, veteran owned, and the owners describe it as a smaller alternative to the big corporate sales centers. Rick and Ashlee are the names you'll see in reviews. What reviewers bring up most is pricing, and the trailer work comes up often too. People write about axle repairs and warranty claims where the shop took photos and measurements and followed up with the warranty company. One traveler heading to Panama City had tires blow out on a fifth wheel and got helped with a spare. Staff get called kind and respectful, and more than one reviewer says they'd come back. Not every review is glowing. One buyer says to check that everything works before you sign and drive off the lot, after a fridge part dragged on for months. That's worth knowing going in.

What renters mention
“Incredible people with impeccable customer service. I find that the majority of the time, small dealerships like this are few and far between. My family and I purchased our first RV back in November of 2021 here.” – Dennis K., 4 years ago, on Google
“Fantastic experience. We looked all over for the right 5th Wheel RV. Others gave up on us or treated us like the novice we were.” – Rob H., 9 years ago, on Google
“I have now had my R.V. Trailor pushing two weeks. I brought it to the park. Set it up. And I had some repair issues. That I thought should have been repaired by Discount R.V. Well I was wrong. I bought it as is. I have never owned an R.V.” – Greg H., Edited 6 years ago, on Google
